When creating a character, you will start here, following the rules and using one of the forms provided. Here, your character will wait for a staff member to check it.
Once a staff member has approved your character's existence, their bio shall be moved here and you will be free to role-play out in the boards. remember, you still have to follow the rules once your character is accepted.
Regarded as the most peaceful place in all of Iairos, Anemone is known for its gentle breezes and abundant flowers nestled amongst the tall grasses. There aren't many trees, only some thickly branched ones huddled around the edges where creatures can retreat for shade and rest while the birds hop about and sing them songs in the constantly warm climate. Truly, heaven on land.
Altair Forest is the forest that surrounds Anemone Valley and it gets its name from the vast amount of birds that reside in it and the fact that the forest itself is in the shape of a very large star, the flowery valley being in the center. The forest itself is the epitomy of life and health, the trees as tall as skyscrapers and the ferns and other such smaller plants green and tasty. The fruit is also rather abundant making it a good place for people to gather delicious berries and nuts. Watch out for rutting deer though.
The largest town in all of Iairos, Thalia is regarded as one of the purest safe-heavens for humanoids used to living in houses and cottages. Though it is strongly reminiscent of medieval villages and manors with its small stone buildings and massively high walls to protect it, Thalia is still a bustling place and, although its not as big as you would think the biggest town in Iairos would be, it's still rather large. With a prestigious magic school and a massive market place full of stores and stalls and booths and such that sell almost any item you could possibly desire, along with various farms, fields and stables, Thalia is probably the most prosperous town in all of either world.
Just at the western face of Thalia, only a few miles from the walls that surround it, a series of mountains just up from the planet's surface. Though not particularly massive, they are still rather impressive collections of Iairos, their snow-covered tops glistening year round in the sunsets. The name Aoede, to sing, comes from the peaceful tune that the winds often seem to make as they pass through the rocky cliffs and sparse trees. Though it's unofficial as of yet, the Nekomata supposedly use the natural barrier as a sort of stronghold.
Just beyond the shadow of the mountains, surrounded by thick trees and an almost jungle-like atmosphere, the hunting village of Theron lays nestled in one of Iairos' far corners. few are aware of its existence and, those who do, aren't particularly interested in visiting. It's a tiny village, full of deer-hide tents and camps as opposed to actual houses and buildings. But, the people here prosper, staying fit by hunting in the nearby woods and trading their furs and meat in Thalia for jewels and weaponry. Strangely enough, their self-taught methods of handling magic has made them some of the strongest people on the planet. Goes to show you what a little elbow grease can achieve.
Legend has it that a single black dog, Deimos, the sire and dam of what would become the Shuck population, was the one who first leapt into the sky thousands of years ago, thereby opening the portal to the dark world of Erebus through the swirling clouds. he supposedly leapt from the tip of a mountain top, but his force was so strong that the mountain top crumbled in his wake, leaving the tall, dark plateau that we now know as the way into (and out of) Erebus. Supposedly, the dust that spilled from the dog's paws as he leapt became the swirling clouds that now surround and blanket the plateau's face.
Dominating the continent with its bleak, dark fury, a barren expanse of utter nothingness and abyss known for its ability to literally swallow up travelers who may get lost in its massive expanse. No water, almost no food and only stark, dead vegetation, only one fate lays in wait over this parched dry earth: some sort of slow and painful death. Or, a quick and violent one should you stumble upon one of the many complex rocky formations or even some ruins or abandoned buildings. The most nightmarish creatures ever to set foot on any planet usually make their homes in such areas.
Rising high over the cracked, dusted earth of the neighboring wastelands, Melania stands tall for all to see, a dark, bleak shadow in a dusty, devouring world. Inside the city is no brighter than the outside, illuminated only by neon signs of the numerous strip clubs, bars and other shady hide-aways, smog from the demonic vehicles the people drive blocking out most light from the outside world. Since Erebus is more technology based than Iairos, its central city is full of computers, tvs and, most importantly electricities, looking almost entirely like a concentrated slum from the biggest cities on Earth, complete with skyscrapers, apartments and drug dealers. Careful where you tread.
Just beyond the central city, a massive expanse of sand, dirt and foul winds sweeps out toward the sea and forest. this desert dominates much of one side of Erebus' largest continent, dwarfed only by the size of the wasteland that snakes around and even through it in some places. But Nyx is far more frightening for it's constantly stormy weather, always blocking out any sort of sunlight and plunging the land into cold, bitter darkness.
Don't you dare venture out into these soggy woods alone, for here lay the Shucks, Erebus' loyal servants and the most powerful creatures to grace the lands. Though many shucks prefer open terrain and often wander far, many of the females choose to remain in the shady trees, basking in the spilt blood of travelers who dared to wander near. but shucks are not the only things hidden in the shadows. Quicksand lurks behind every log, a Manticore waits to lure you into the trees behind every bush and Fenrir stalk in the shadows. And they're all after one thing: you.
Hidden somewhere on the far side of the wastelands, near the marshes but hidden by dark shrubbery, lies the one and only Leto. Many do not know what Leto is or where it is hidden exactly, only that it exists somewhere in the expansive wasteland, invisible to anyone of Erebus who is not a shuck or not with their Achlys. because, ladies and gentleman, this is the entrance (and exit) to Iairos, a massive ditch-like depression, the sides lined with strangely fertile mosses, grasses and flowers. Once you fall in, you black out, only to reawaken at the top of the plateau in the real world.

+ Polemeios Sea + What many consider the edge of the world is really just a rocky cliff face, plummeting hundreds of feet down into the rocky waters of the constantly rough tides. It's not much for sight-seeing, usually blanketed by fog but the caves that dot the jagged rocks are perfect roots for flying creatures and the dark waters, uncooperative as they may be, are perfect for sea creatures. It is wise that land-dwellers steer clear. Sea serpents aren't known to pass up the opportunity to snatch someone from the lower parts of the shore.
Plots, thread advertisements, leavings and absences, along with an assortment of other things to help out members keep tabs on what's going on with their characters, along with anything that might be happening in their lives as well.

Hey sometimes, the crazy, meaninglessly fun things we do are what bring us all closer together. So, despite what the rules say, this happens to be out spam-happy corner of the world where you can go nuts as far as posting and chatting is concerned. Just keep it PG-13-ish.
