Out of Character
You cannot insult, make fun of or even imply ill will toward anyone who graces this site's main page, whether they be another member, a staff member, or a spam-happy guest. Everyone here is entitled to their own opinion and you have no right to talk them down about it. I'm not saying you have to like everyone. Just respect them, is all I ask. Especially guests. You cannot argue with anyone on the boards. feel free to argue with them over the phone, on AIM or via PMs but do not carry it out on the boards unless it can be considered a logical, meaningful discussion. You cannot argue with the staff outright or do anything to suggest refusal to comply to their demands. You are welcome to demand an explanation, but anything beyond that which might question their authority is strictly prohibited. They are staff, they are here to help you, not to listen to you whine about fairness or whatever. You cannot post any sort of graphic images on the forum. You can talk about them with minimal detail, but any potentially violent, offensive or sexually themed images will be removed on the spot... and you, of course, will be in trouble for posting them.
In Character
You cannot create too many characters. If we notice that some of them are falling inactive, we will warn you before deleting them. Granted, this does not apply to members who have excused absences but regular members should keep all their characters at least remotely active. You cannot (or at least should try not to) create the same species of character as everyone else. We give you the freedom to create anything for a reason. All we ask is that you use it. If you notice everyone is creating wolves, create a dog. If everyone's Enora is a dragon, make yours... I dunno, a Kirin or something. Just switch it up a little. Otherwise, we will start banning certain species from being created should they get too popular. You cannot completely forsake your character's species. I know that sounds weird but people do it. They'll often say their character is a werewolf but they don't even give them a wolf form. Don't do that! If your character is a demon, make them a demon. Give them horns or wings or both even, a spaded tail and claws and fangs and stuff. If they're a werewolf, they should transform on the full moon and they should have a wolf form. You cannot create Mary Sues or Gary Lues or whatever the hell they're called. Your character can't be perfect, I mean. No amazing superpowers like 'instant death' or 'mind control'. For every strength, your character should have some sort of weakness (no matter how minor). You cannot keep secrets! This is very important when creating your character. You cannot leave anything out of the bio. If it's not in the bio, it doesn't exist. That's the rule. If your bio does not say that your character's father beat her, then it isn't true. If it doesn't say that she can breathe fire whenever she wants, then she can't. Period. You cannot simply come out of nowhere and make sudden claims about your character. If it's not in the bio, it does not exist. You cannot create look-alike characters. I cannot be any simpler than this. No white wolves named Kiba or silver Akitas named Gin or kitsune named Naruto or anything silly like that. You're technically stealing the character design from it's creator, which is a huge federal no-no. So, don't do it. At least change the name. You cannot steal anything from anyone directly, whether it be an image or artwork, a history or personality or a character design (as mentioned above). Any and all sorts of theft are punished severely. So, if it's not yours, don't use it, unless whatever it is has been published and sold to the public, such as magazine, game and book covers, calendar images and trading cards. You cannot have a sig that stretches the page. there's no maximum size or anything but try and keep them small, maybe 500 pixels or less in width. You cannot 'phantom mate' your characters. Meaning, if your characters ever mate or have offspring, they must be conceived with another character on the site, unless enacted as part of a plot. Your character cannot just come out of nowhere and be pregnant by some random wolf she met in the woods. You cannot rp until your bio has been checked and approved by a staff member. Period. You cannot hijack threads. Though you do not necessarily have to adhere to a posting order, you cannot simply leave people out of a thread. If there are more than two people involved in the thread, you must wait for their posts before continuing. You cannot powerplay or godmod! There isn't much to explain here that can't be read in the Roleplaying FAQ, so check that out for more details. You cannot dodge more than three attacks consecutively. Meaning, if your character is fighting another and dodges two bites and a fire attack, regardless of the fourth attack, it must hit your character. And when I say hit, I mean hit, not graze. There should at least be blood drawn. You cannot kill another person's character without their direct permission. Common sense here, people. You cannot control anything about anyone else's character. You can't control how they act, what they like, where they live or when they're hit. Nor can you control when they die. Be aware though, sometimes staff will authorize the killing of a character but always with probable cause.
You cannot leave here without having fun. It's a game so enjoy it. ;3
